Cookie Policy
Last updated: 19 May 2026 · Version 1.1
3. Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for Datumbase to function. They allow you to sign in and navigate securely between pages. Without them, the service cannot be provided.
Under PECR, strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent, but we are required to tell you about them.
| Cookie name | Provider | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| sb-adhujidzghwpzlugixsw-auth-token | Supabase (supabase.co) | Stores your encrypted authentication session so you remain signed in between page loads. | Strictly necessary | Session / up to 7 days |
| sb-adhujidzghwpzlugixsw-auth-token.0 | Supabase (supabase.co) | Overflow chunk of the auth token when it exceeds cookie size limits. | Strictly necessary | Session / up to 7 days |
| datumbase_cookie_consent | Datumbase | Records your cookie consent choice ("accepted" or "declined") so we do not ask again on every visit. | Strictly necessary | 365 days |
| datumbase_cookie_consent_date | Datumbase | Records the date and time of your consent choice for our records (ICO accountability requirement). | Strictly necessary | 365 days |
4. Analytics cookies
We use PostHog (EU-hosted) to understand how users interact with the application — for example, which pages are visited most often and where users encounter problems. This helps us prioritise improvements.
Analytics cookies are only set after you have given consent using the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies will be placed and PostHog operates in memory-only mode (no data persists between sessions).
| Cookie name | Provider | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ph_phc_*_posthog | PostHog (eu.posthog.com) | Stores a randomly generated anonymous user ID so we can understand repeat usage patterns. Contains no personal data. | Analytics (optional) | 1 year |
5. Your consent record
When you make a choice on the cookie banner, we record:
- Your choice ("accepted" or "declined")
- The date and time of that choice
- The policy version in force at the time
This record is stored in a first-party cookie on your device. We retain it for up to 365 days, after which the banner will appear again.
Your consent choice applies to this browser and device only. If you use Datumbase on another browser or device, or clear your cookies, you will be asked again.
6. Managing your cookies
You can withdraw or change your consent at any time by clearing your cookies for this site. The cookie banner will re-appear on your next visit.
To clear cookies for datumbase.tech only:
- Chrome:Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data → See all site data → search "datumbase" → Delete
- Firefox:Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data → search "datumbase" → Remove
- Safari:Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data → search "datumbase" → Remove
You can also use browser settings to block all cookies, but note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in to Datumbase.
7. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy if our cookie usage changes materially — for example, if we introduce analytics or any new third-party tools that set cookies. When we make a material change, we will increment the policy version and re-show the consent banner so you can make an informed choice.
Minor updates (e.g. formatting or clarifications) will not trigger a new consent request.
